Well friends… your favorite college politico has arrived in London safe and sound.

I slept for about 30 minutes on a flight came in an hour early, I sat through customs for an hour with a South African flight – along with my own flight, I made it to my flat in the dark of night, I completely unpacked, and now I’m working on making it out to get some food sometime soon, maybe a coffee as well (Starbucks is just down the block!).

Swanky does not even being to describe South Kensington – the area of London where I’m living.  For my Bostonians reading, think Newbury Street and then take it up a notch.  Yeah Greenwich baby with the huge mansions replaced by expensive flats.

My room is small, but not too bad – no desk though – I’m writing on my bed.  All of my stuff fit – but aside from clothes and cosmetics, I didn’t really have much.  The flat kitchen is gorgeous.  Seriously, my DREAM kitchen.  When those 6 kids come along – remember I want that kitchen.  The TV and couch set is also pretty nice.  The girls that share my flat are also very kind.

Today we have tours of the area (just around South Kensington) and going over the “handbook” stuff just like any other BU move-in.  Tomorrow begins the orientation lectures – oohhh fun.  I’ll probably bring the laptop around to “take notes”.

I’ll know my class schedule by Monday – if that website ever starts working.

That’s it for London updates.  Thing will probably be slow to non-existent today on the US Politics side – it is Sunday.

Enjoy your day!  I’m off to explore!
