It’s Friday here in the UK – actually it’s only in the UK for that matter. It’s a huge fundraising day where money goes to UK charities that deal with issues at home and in Africa. Last night, the BBC did a profile on Chelsea footballers that visited kids in a Hemoc floor of a London hospital – yeah a little hard to watch.
The Times 2 today ran an article on St. Matthew’s Children’s Fund and the Jerusalem Children and Community Development Association (JeCCDO) – the organization that I’m interning with. Here’s the link to the article. SMCF and JeCCDO actually have a large 5 year grant from Comic Relief (the organization that puts on Red Nose Day) that really goes a long way towards aiding our programs.
Mal and I already got our red noses purchased – you can do that at your local Sainsbury’s. Boys – got noses for you too! And Uni students were walking on the Tubes this morning, dressed as doctors, asking for donations.
If you want to donate to Red Nose Day, check out their website. It truly is a great cause.
